Being on a construction site can be a very interesting place, you can meet all sorts of people. During lunch today we were sitting around with the cement workers telling old war stories (these are not real war stories it’s just a phrase we have for old work stories).

The cement crew is 90% or better Hispanic and most likely 90% of them or better are illegal immigrants, most can’t put a whole sentence together with the English language. But they always have a person close by that can speak very good English.

Anyways as we were telling stories about pass jobs we started talking about how the illegal ones managed to get by for so long. It was an interesting conversation (we ended up taking a long lunch break). Here is a story that was repeated more then once by more then one person.

Seems most of the crew knew someone that was working over here for years, this person would come to Mexico gather up workers and for the fee in the range of $500 - $1000 they would get a ride here to Nashville and help with getting a job. A couple of the stories had added some facts about getting busted for false Social Security cards, they would get around this by rehiring on with the same company using a different name and a different number but with the same company and the same person that hired them the first time would just let them go right to work. Interesting right? 

Well me being the kind of guy I am asked if they were ready for this new immigration law that would make them legal immigrants. From what the guys that could speak English told me they had no plan on turning them selfs in or registering for a Z visa (funny thing to this is that the illegals seemed to know more about this bill then the true blooded Americans did). Their plan is to keep breaking the law till the law chases them out of the State, then they will just move to a different state and work under a different name.

Hell they already have a plan to get around this reform bill a couple even told me they didn’t trust our government any more then we do. After all look how they are changing the laws just to help out those who break the law (how can they trust them to keep their word (them being congress)).

The fellow that spoke very good English (he kinda bragged about helping most of these illegals get here to start with) said that most of them felt that becoming legal would hurt them more then help. They could no longer cheat on taxes, they would no longer be able to change their identity every time some sort of trouble came up (car wreak, DWI, drug charge, ect, ect..). They were even concerned that the company that hired them to start with would fire them because they would need a fare wage if they could no longer cheat on paying taxes.

So here we are trying to fight off a stupid reform bill that will not do anything but open our borders even more then they are now, money that would be gathered to close those borders from the Z visa will never come because those that the bill is set up to help think it is even stupider then we do. I guess we could consider this good news as far as the visa issue goes. The bill will only make it easier for companies like Baker construction of Nashville to get around the law they are already breaking. Not to mention that the people that are going to Mexico and sneaking these illegals here now will have an easier way to make a little extra cash.

So with all this information what can we conclude? This will be just another Kennedy bill that does nothing more then the rest of the bills this prima donna has sponsored and gotten passed through the senate.

So as we worry and fight, the illegal immigrants plan, they plan on how they are being given a free ride to sit here as federal law breakers, get by with out paying taxes and when the time comes they will pay off the little fine and rape our tax dollars for ever penny they can (makes you wonder who is the under educated here doesn’t it?).

All the while our elected officials that seem to think they are smarter then the people that put them in office are truly dumber then those they are trying to help.

So here is a synopsis of what is really going to happen if this bill gets passed.

1. Closed border: I don’t think so the 4.4 billion that will be used to tighten up border security will never be raised there is no way 12-20 million illegal immigrants are going to turn them selfs in they trust our government less then we do.

2. Get illegal immigrants out of the closet: Once again aint gunna happen their life style is too good the way it is now with cheating on taxes, and hiding away from the law by changing names and identities.

3. Assimilation into the American culture: Why should they American business and retail is willing to cater to them already.
